2019: SELF cannot recommend Master Bella or slave rooks (who have changed their name to Lady Bella Price, Master_Bella, and Templara Rooks or Her rooks, Rooks, or Rooks Templar, as of 2020) as staff, volunteers, judges, speakers, educators or any other capacity. SELF's history stands, Master Bella and slave rooks were awarded the title of SE Master/slave 2016. SELF agrees with the lack of confidence and withdrawal of offers made by other five other large respectable, long-standing events. Their participation in SouthEast LeatherFest is not welcome.
SELF has chosen not to remove their titles so they cannot erase their path or history by moving to a new location, or into a new community of people, or starting another group for beginners.

Oct 2016 Column
The journey of winning the 2016 SouthEast Master/slave title was exhilarating and intoxicating. Admittedly, also a bit nerve-wracking! We suspect that was due to our being rookies to the leather contest experience. That nervousness was gradually extinguished by the ceaseless kindness and reassuring energy we received throughout SELF weekend.
Also, being in the contest was a very introspective process. Win or lose, we think it's fair to say it is impossible for a couple to come out of it not learning more about themselves and each other. As an M/s couple we have relished at how entwined we are. The contest made us channel what we'd been feeling into words. The contest was a gift. We will always be thankful for it.
A surprise for us is just how hooked we've become on traveling to events. With that said, it is little surprise just how much more intolerable to the work week has gotten! Come Wednesday we find ourselves clawing for the weekend to arrive so that we can hit the road or get on that next flight.
We recently had a great time at South Carolina Pride in Leather II. Around the corner for us is GLLA, Leather History Conference, and Leather Reign. Beyond that, we are planning to attend events and visit groups in all four corners of the nation with an added emphasis on the southeast.
To our judges (Sir David Labriola, Angel Propps, Master Dragon, Khaz, and Robbie), thank you for taking the time to serve as judges for SELF. Thank you for your combined insight and wisdom. Moreover, thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of representing our wonderful southeast region. Ms. Suzan and MAsT International, thank you for your advice and assistance in our travels. To Lady Catherine Gross, you are right. You do run a lovely house and family that is SELF; we are grateful to have been allowed to be part of it.
A special thank you to the SELF attendees and volunteers. Attendees and volunteers are actually too passive words to describe the continued outpouring of positivity, dedication, and support we received during SELF. We think better terms are participants and devotees, respectively. Thank you. You brought the energy and fun to a weekend that will not be forgotten.
We are honored, privileged, and excited to be representing the southeast region during our mission to provide education and promote the M/s dynamic.

Welcome to 2017!!!
This year promises to be filled with more connections and fun.
During our travels we've been blessed to visit several groups and individuals interested in learning about our M/s dynamic.
A few visits consisted of MAsT: WV.
These wonderful people welcomed us with open arms and I can't begin to tell you how much fun we had.
We led a conversation concerning how the M/s dynamic is effected when Master is physically ill and not able to make decisions.
We also had the opportunity to present a mock scene negotiation for the SMacKed Demo & Party.
In December we were featured during the
Lifestyle Lighthouse Call In
discussing authority based relationships and the wonderful play but what happens when the going gets rough, how we keep going - touching on the strength and unity of our relationships and how we endure real life events together as Master & slave.
As usual the shared conversations and laughs over the last few months left us all a bit more educated and excited about the future.
Unfortunately on Thanksgiving we experienced a family trauma and as usual our community near and far came together with words of comfort and support. We cant begin to express how thankful we are to our community for carrying us through the sadness. This response was just another confirmation that we serve a group of human beings that are amazing.
We're looking forward to a full schedule starting this month and we're preparing for the Master & slave International Competition at South Plains Leatherfest in March.
Our 2017 schedule is filling up quickly.

Here's to an amazing 2017!
March 2017 Column
As I try to put pen to paper in the hopes of sharing what we've been doing, I have no idea where to start.
We are always blessed to be in contact or surrounded by an amazingly supportive community, a wonderful sash family and our chosen family as we represent our SouthEast M/s title.
Last month we attended Southwest Leather Conference and had the opportunity to visit with all of the M/s area title holders. It was more than an honor to be a part of this group.
We are now preparing for South Plains Leatherfest International M/s title competition in 2 weeks and are working hard to represent our a South East area proudly.
